- The Republic of Ghana is located in West Africa. Its is bordered by three countries: in the north by Burkina-Faso, east by Togo, west by La Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast). Ghana occupies a total land area of 239,460 sqkm.

- Ghana has a tropical climate, normally warm to hot all year around, with average temperature of between 21°C and 32°C. However the temperature in the mountains like Aburi and Amedzofe are cooler and comfortable. There are two rainy seasons from March to July and September to October. November to March is the dry and hot season. The southern and central Region are moist and cover rainforests and grassland and the northern zone has a drier savannah environment.

- Ghana population is approximately 24 Million. There are about 60 different ethnic groups. The Akans constitute the largest ethnic group with approximately 49.1%, in the middle and southern parts of the country. The Mole-Dagbani people of the Northern part of Ghana 16.5%, followed by the Ewes in southeastern Ghana (12.7%), the Ga-Adangbe of Accra (8%).
Ghana Language
- English is the Ghana’s official language. However several local dialects like Twi & Fanti are spoken widely. The majority of people of people in the capital Accra speak Ga. Other popular language include Nzema in the Western Region, Hausa spoken mainly among the Ghanaian Muslim community. Pidgin English is also spoken by young people and by mainly people who cannot speak formal English.
